Press Release: Mintahoe Catering & Events + Envision Catering

We are pleased to announce the merger of Mintahoe Catering & Events and Envision Catering, combining to form the largest privately-owned, pure catering company in Minnesota.

Mintahoe (a company owned by the McMerty Family) has provided catering ranging from parties for 25,000 guests to box lunches for groups of ten. Mintahoe has exclusive catering agreements with eight venues, providing catering every year for hundreds of corporate and social events along with more than 400 weddings.

Envision (a company that was owned by the Given Family) brings its excellent reputation for quality into the combined company along with one of the largest independent catering venues – formerly the Envision Event Center - in the region, a venue that can seat 1,000 guests for dinner. We are also proud to announce that the Event Center is in the midst of a major renovation, rebranding this Oakdale facility as Inwood Oaks, a beautiful, functional and desirable site for every type of event. Chandeliers are in, painting has begun, carpet will be replaced in July, a state-of-the-art audio system is in place with more dramatic improvements continuing.  Please come and see what we have undertaken!

Mintahoe Catering & Events can meet the needs of every type of event you might have, from the most prestigious gala to corporate deliveries throughout the Twin Cities. With two hundred employees, including more than twenty culinary staff and twenty sales and sales support personnel to assist you, the merged companies represent the best and the strongest catering company in Minnesota. We appreciate the superb support we have received for many years and look forward to serving you at an even higher level.

Quick Tips for Event Planners:

Your event needs stuff. You’ll need a designer who knows how to use this stuff to create an event that will not only wow your guests but also create a lasting impression. Decor is a staple in successful event planning and execution. How you choose to decorate is one of the best ways to customize your space, as well as connect your theme or mood to guests. Decor also gives you opportunities to engage guests and deepen the connection between them and your organization. An Event Designer should be able to guide you through this process and assist you in creating an event that is impactful and successful.    - See more at:
